On the afternoon of June 27, Deng Rui, deputy secretary of the Hekou County Party Committee, county governor, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and deputy director of the Management Committee of Honghe District (Hekou Side Joint Area), Zhou Zhi, chairman of Hekou Land Construction and Investment Group, and the delegation of Hekou Yao Autonomous County of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province arrived at the Shanghai office of HAWEI Supply Chain Group for talks and signed a cooperation agreement. The cooperation between the two sides will focus on the overall service of the border exchange market, promote the transformation and upgrading of the border exchange market, introduce high-quality processing and production enterprises, and create more local jobs and more income for the border people.

Honghe State is the main passage of the China-Vietnam Economic Corridor, and the border line with Vietnam is 848 kilometers long. There are Hekou, Phimping, Luchun 3 counties sharing the border with Vietnam Lao Cai province, Laizhou province. There are 3 first-class ports to Vietnam which are Hekou road port, Hekou railway port and Jinshui River port. Through Honghe Prefecture, Vietnam's abundant agricultural products can reach the large market of southwest China with a population of nearly 200 million in Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan and Chongqing. In 2022, Honghe Prefecture's trade with Vietnam amounted to US $970 million, accounting for 30% of Yunnan Province's trade with Vietnam, of which bilateral agricultural trade amounted to US $440 million. The unique geographical location of Hekou Yao Autonomous County makes Hekou a border city with tropical and subtropical scenery. Banana and pineapple are mainly cultivated all year round, banana planting area of 146,000 mu, pineapple planting area of 14,400 mu, is one of the main areas of tropical fruit and rubber in Yunnan Province.
